The Ensemble

The dance theatre group APOICHOS, since its founding in 2021 under the conception and direction of choreographer Ira Ko (Iraklis Kotsarinis), has centered its creative work on the exploration of the human experience.

Its aim is to deepen the art of dance and movement performance as a whole — both on an educational and performative level — through Ira Ko’s movement research method titled “APOICHOS.”

The group’s works are not simple narratives or aesthetic constructions; they are artistic immersions into collective trauma, existential anxieties, and social issues.

Each performance is an invitation to emotional connection, reflection, and inner awakening, using the tools of physicality, lived experience, the poetry of movement, and dreamlike elements.

From this core, the group creates works with social depth and cultural awareness, responding through art to the needs and wounds of the present.
